The Provincial Tourism Office and Bataan Health Promotion Board, spearheaded Bataan Freedom Ride 2024 that took place on April 13, 2024 with ten (10) different starting points all over the province leading to Mt. Samat.
A total of 723 bikers from different biking groups and associations joined said event that aims to remind everyone to respect and value the Death March Markers, while simultaneously continuing to honor the bravery and sacrifices of our heroes, the veterans, during the Second World War.
Furthermore, pedaling through the historic Bataan Peninsula not only encourages revisiting landmarks like Bataan Death March Markers but also promotes a healthier community by integrating physical activity into commemorative events, underscoring the long-term benefits of regular exercise.
Aside from the efforts of the Provincial Tourism Office and Bataan Health Promotion Board, the success of Bataan Freedom Ride 2024 was also made possible thru the support and cooperation of Pusong Pinoy Partylist, local government units, Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), Philippine National Police (PNP), Metro Bataan Development Authority (MBDA), Provincial Engineer’s Office (PEO) and other entities.
